Twenty-five area companies are ready to take on the first annual Go-Tober Go-Team Challenge! The challenge is dedicated to getting people to try new ways to commute smarter throughout the month of October. Employees are encouraged to track their commutes online, and the Way to Go team will keep track of which companies earn the most points by encouraging their employees to commute smarter – walk, bike, bus, train, carpool, vanpool by walking, biking, taking the bus or train, vanpooling or carpooling at least four times in October. The top three companies are set to win $10,000 in advertising congratulating them for their accomplishment. In addition, companies with the highest participation each week will win a “Surprise & Delight”reward like free burritos, pizza, ice cream, car washes and similar treats prizes for their employees.
